Barry Weidenbaum is a member in good standing of the Bar of New York.  Prior to becoming the partner in charge of the Transactions Division of Weidenbaum & Harari, Mr. Weidenbaum was an Assistant Counsel with the New York State Housing Finance Agency, the State of New York Mortgage Agency and the New York State Project Finance Agency. Mr. Weidenbaum was formerly an associate in the Real Estate Department at the New York office of Wolf, Block, Schorr and Solis-Cohen, LLP. 
 
Mr. Weidenbaum has broad based real estate law experience having advised clients on the legal aspects of buying and selling cooperative units, condominium units and townhouses for over a decade.  He has represented buyers, sellers, developers, cooperative boards, and lenders in both residential and commercial real estate matters. Even though he has successfully closed hundreds of such transactions in past years, his philosophy is that each client deserves individual attention. He has set up a conscientious transaction process where customer service is a top priority with a focus on creative solutions as a deal maker. Many of the firms real estate clients are first time buyers (in addition to  many others being investors and developers) and the real estate group is very experienced in walking first time buyers through the legal process.

Mr. Weidenbaum is also the author of numerous articles in the real estate industry including commentary on mortgage contingency clauses and the board approval process. He has published articles including "Riverboat Casinos: Floating Security Interests" published in the Gaming Law Review.

Barry has also negotiated and closed numerous sophisticated real estate and corporate transactions, including leases, alteration agreements, easement issues, licenses, asset purchase agreements, stock purchase agreements, and has advised clients on the telecommunications aspects of such transactions.

In addition to having a Juris Doctorate degree, Mr. Weidenbaum also has a Bachelors of Business Administration in Accounting from Emory University  Mr. Weidenbaum is married with two daughters, and they all reside in New York State with their dog Daisy.
